I felt like I was being extorted. My truck needs a new transmission at 112k. Initially planned on dealership doing repairs. After I ordered the transmission, 7 days before it arrived I decided I would have my own mechanic do the repairs. Called my service lady and told her. The date was 10/20. Told her I could pick up the truck the next day and come back for the transmission when it arrives or maybe they can deliver it to my mechanics shop and I could pay for delivery. I was told they could not do that and my truck could not be released until the transmission arrived, ok no problem. A week later 10/27 I get a call from my service rep and now she’s telling me I need to come up with another 5 thousand dollars for a core charge or they won’t give me my truck or transmission that’s already been paid for. I’m familiar with core charges, I do work on cars but , 100% of the value of the part and without warning at all. I get it it’s a deposit but that’s quite a bit of money to come up with on the spot especially without warning at all. Furthermore the service rep tried to blame me because I decided to have my mechanic fix it instead of them. Like, it’s my fault you never told me that I would need to pay this amount until the last possible minute. I’m completely dissatisfied with my service, I feel taken advantage of and it makes me never want to go back to the dealership, ever! Would have been do simple for you guys to admit the mistake instead the customer got blamed and still had to fork out an extra 5 thousand dollars that I’m hoping gets refunded when I return the core but honestly I trust that that money will ever come back just by the service I received

My wife Gina and I were very impressed with all the staff at Stewart Chevrolet, especially sales associate Ryan Lange. Ryan showed us all the options we could get in a Suburban and found the one my wife was looking for right away. She was particular about having the second row bench seat which is not found in all the trim packages. Ryan found us a beautiful Z71 with the second row bench and we wrapped up the sale in less than three days. We love the new car and will seek out Ryan and Stewart Chevrolet the next time our family needs a new car. Thank you for all the help, can't wait to take it to the snow this winter!
