I brought in the car for the rattling sound when the wheel is turned. Spent over a thousand dollar but the noise is still there although it wasn't as loud as before. The people there are very helpful and tells the customers what needs to be done to there vehicle to keep it going for a long time. The technitions thoroughly look through your car or truck and inspect what is still good and what should be fixed "|"
Joe Montalbano, the sales rep who assisted me, was terrific. He was knowledgeable about the car I was interested in, polite, patient, and never tried to push me into a deal. I appreciate that he was even willing to come in on his day off if I needed something. I went to Stewart because of the Costco recommendation, but got a better deal than the expected Costco discount. Three stars, since the Sales Manager (Jonathan) has been very kind and helpful throughout the entire process (I ordered the car on 12/7 and delivery was 2/26). He was not on duty the day I picked up the car. Unlike my previous dealings with Stewart dealerships, this visit felt rushed and perhaps even a bit adversarial. I love the new car, so bottom line result is good, but I am going to try and get explanations for some oddities relating to the pricing of the car, and of the leasing options (or lack thereof) presented to me, even after I asked.
Also a 'new' policy of 'warning' (I'm not going to use 'Threatening') customers that they might get a bill from the leasing company AFTER the dealership has accepted the returned car, and written the deal! Really? Somebody should have looked at the vehicle and then given their findings to the sales department, who would have 'hidden' any needed repair fees in the deal, as has been done since time immemorial. I've been leasing cars since 1978 and this is new (and very wrong). Customer should not be held accountable for a miscalculation on the part of the appraiser. That's a cost of doing business!
